Job Title: Lead Enterprise Architect

Location: Columbus, Ohio

We help companies complete critical business initiatives that are championed by their Technology and Financial leaders. Additionally, we offer expertise in the Cybersecurity space. Vernovis is currently sourcing talent for a client who is building their IT Architecture organization. These resources will be joining a large utilities partner in Columbus within a newly formed Transformation Management Office. These Lead Enterprise Architects will cover multiple areas including enterprise platforms, data, and security. If interested, please email Travis at tbrush@vernovis.com

What You'll Do:
  • Defines/executes the architecture vision, strategy, and capability roadmaps
  • Creates and/or evolves the enterprise architecture function/program
  • Identifies and analyzes the business drivers to develop architecture requirements
  • Analyzes technology industry and market trends and determines potential impact upon security
  • Implements architecture and ongoing refinement activities
  • Develops and executes a communication plan (including education) for architecture standards
  • Acts as a sounding board for IT and business leaders in the development of solutions for enterprise needs
  • Builds and manages relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to effectively socialize and manage the Enterprise Architecture
  • Partners with Operations teams on long-term solutions including Incident and Problem Management. Partner on performance issues as necessary, providing technical architecture leadership
  • Partners with operational technology teams on strategies and approaches on securing control and SCADA networks
  • Partners with physical (corporate) security teams and act as liaison between teams
  • Works collaboratively with IT operations team, service providers and local, state and federal agencies during incident response
  • May take on a Project Leader role for special enterprise-wide assignments
  • A secure IT environment at an appropriate cost
  • Effective management processes and tools that protect the IT environment
  • Publishes and effectively uses Architecture standards, frameworks, patterns and procedures

What Experience You'll Have:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Information Technology and/or experience in Applications, Data, and Infrastructure capabilities
  • Competency in architectural practices across Business, Application, Information and Technical Architectures
  • Experience developing future state architectures and a practical roadmap to get there
  • Leadership in the space of information/data management, master data management data warehousing and business intelligence
  • Strong communication, influence and negotiation skills
  • Ability to self-prioritize work effectively
  • Open to extensive travel on short notice
