Job Description - Guidewire Lead

ICS is seeking a talented Guidewire Lead for one of our insurance clients in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities:

Lead the creation & maintenance of quality applications software to support Guidewire ClaimCenter.

Lead & Design integration components including plug-ins, messaging (and supporting business rules), and programs that call the Guidewire application APIs; Lead Configuration of pcf screen layouts and writing business logic and rules.

Lead Configuration and design of new functionalities for the existing Guidewire platform and implement inbound and outbound integrations utilizing messaging frameworks and business rules.

Lead Planning, design, development of Gosu code and configuration elements within Guidewire Studio.

Own End to end the operational and administration related parameters such as roles, permissions, user attributes, regions, activity patterns etc.

Lead developing claims software and integration services in the Guidewire ClaimCenter platform; lead creating and modifying rules and rulesets; ensures ClaimCenter data model is efficiently responding to business queries and requests; conducting or participating in architectural and technical reviews; participate in code reviews and UAT sessions; lead integrating legacy systems;

Lead integrating FNOL claim intake service using Acord standards for Agent portal;

Lead development & Configuration changes on Inbound and Outbound for ISO integration; Configure Claim Pre-update, Pre-setup, Post Setup rules on business needs;

Integrate ClaimCenter with third party system for injury evaluation, Colossus; Work on document integration with third party content manager system;

Work on rental integration with third party rental company like Enterprise, hertz; lead ClaimCenter integration with email and fax; work on integrating claim center for damage estimate with third party system, CCC; Own unit testing and defects resolution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Acts independently under general supervision - using established automated software tools to add and correct functionality on complex applications.
  • Provides technical and business leadership, mentoring, and training.
  • Develop claims software and integration services in the Guidewire platform.
  • Evaluates proposed system changes on complex applications to determine effort, impact, and time line within their area of responsibility and some broad knowledge of relevant applications.
  • Participate in daily standup meetings, project checkups, and retrospectives.
  • Communicate status via defined processes and project management tools.
  • Ensure all Guidewire technology have the ITIL standards applied like, availability management, capacity management, performance management & change/problem management
  • Placement Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent education and experience required.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of a group's applications (including Guidewire platform) programming system / platform.
  • Agile experience is required
  • 7+ years of experience in Guidewire Claim Center configuration and integration.
  • 2-3 years of cloud experience is desired.
  • Claims 3rd party vendor integration knowledge is a must.
  • Worked in design & implementation insurance industries in the Claims system.
