Mid-Level CAD Technician

The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and self-motivated Civil Drafter/ Designer for immediate employment in our Columbus, OH office.The job Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:This position will be responsible for serving as primary departmental resource for CAD drafting at the project levelCAD drafting will be performed in a manner which adheres to accepted engineering practices and standards, as well as company standardsPrepare and issue all associated design/drafting packages in coordination with IT support staffAssist in the development, implementation and deployment of CAD drafting and survey standards on a departmental level, as directedAssume primary responsibility for providing a quality work product by checking the work product of associates and assuming both schedule and quality measuresAssist in the training and development of junior staff This position affords the ability to make an important and meaningful contribution to our projects and our clientsThe role will provide the opportunity for skill development in many aspects of the profession, as well as opportunities for increased responsibility, challenges and project managementThe ability to work closely with design professionals at a project level with minimal supervisionThe ability to work in a team environment, using time management and multi-tasking skills
