A well-established 3PL has created a Truck Carrier Sales Rep position that is
REMOTE for living anywhere in the EST areas. My client has an asset-based 10 TT’s but they need to find outside truck carriers and/or load boards to handle 10 O/B FTL’s & 5 I/B FTL’s per day. Their asset trucks are busy with other business. As a Truck Carrier Sales Rep, you will find new carriers and develop good working relationship with existing carriers and customer problem resolution. EMPLOYEE DUTIES:- Based in at your home office you will be responsible for calling & qualifying truck carriers to meet company safety & compliance standards.
- Negotiate transportation rates & service, issue rate confirmations.
- Develop carrier relationships to secure freight coverage options using a pre-qualified carrier database or by posting to load boards
- Develop customer relationships and customer problem resolution.
- Perform track & trace functions to ensure on-time deliveries to customers.
- Report business account activities.
- Experience using outside carriers to cover the 10 I/B FTL’s & 5 to use
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data compilation & analysis.
- Experience using Load Boards when supplementing for outside carriers.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with carriers & some inside customer service.
- Experience with the US domestic transportation in an operations setting.
- $60K - $65K salary
