RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Columbus, OH that is seeking a Java J2EE Developer.

The Java J2EE Developer will be proficient in Java J2EE application development skills as well as multiple design techniques. This role will have a working proficiency in Java J2EE development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. The Java J2EE Developer must have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies with the ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks.

REQUIREMENTS: Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines Understanding of architecture and design across all systems Working proficiency in developmental toolsets Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals Passionate about building an innovative culture Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement Strong experience with Web Services (SOAP, REST), JMS, J2EE and/or Spring frameworks Working knowledge of web-related technologies (JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, HTML, etc.) Background on web and application servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, or comparable J2EE servers Database knowledge - SQL, table structure, data relationships Familiar with modern architecture to include Cloud, AWS, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) Spring Boot, Kafka, RDBMS, (Cockroach DB a plus) Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstratesunderstanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing,deployment, maintenance and improvement of software Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, TestDriven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security Experience in Agile software development methodology and practices with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation UI/UX experience strongly preferred
