Solutions Architect Apex Systems, the nation's 2 nd largest IT Staffing organization, has an immediate and exciting opportunity for a Solutions Architect located at one of Columbus' premier employers. Group Details of Solutions Architect: The Solutions Architect will manage the roadmap and operation of critical back office applications for the business through project requests and feature enhancements. The Solutions Architect will have oversight of both internal and external IT team members. Responsibilities of Solutions Architect:

  • Provide expertise among business solution team members to provide technical solutions to complex problems encountered by the business unit
  • Identify underlying roadblocks to common challenges and implement change management techniques to come up with best practice solutions
  • Define and communicate processes and impact of new technology solutions and assist with review and approval of technical solutions and the selection and implementation of service providers
  • Contribute to defining overall scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, business cases, risk plans, test plan to ensure successful delivery of project solutions
  • Work with offshore teams in relation to documentation, design, testing, while ensuring SLA requirements are met
Requirements for Solutions Architect:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS/CIS, or related field, MBA desired
  • Minimum of 8 years in an enterprise environment, working in a custom development area, with offshore development models
  • Experience with on prem, custom, and cloud based applications, Oracle cloud preferred
  • Experience with multiple database technologies (SQL Server/Oracle), multiple architectures (J2EE/.NET), multiple programming languages (Java/Javascript/HTML5/Spring/C#), multiple web app server technologies (Apache/Tomcat/Apache Sor), and integration technologies (Informatica/ETL/SOA/REST) required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, related to all levels of the organization and the ability to manage and direct project team effectively
