ABB is seeking a Project Manager to manage projects and provide superior customer service including communication, coordination, delivery and issue resolution. Ideal candidates must possess understanding of electrical equipment and control systems. The candidate must be articulate with strong communication skills and must enjoy spending time with people to understand their specific issues and desires in order to identify innovative solutions for established and new customers.In addition, Project Manager is responsible for managing very complex and strategic projects and be the primary interface with the client focused on ensuring contractual obligations are met on time and on budget, while achieving customer satisfaction.This position reports toProject Operations ManagerYour responsibilitiesReview customer specifications and examine new contracts to ensure thorough understanding and adherence to the desired contract terms and conditionsThe Project Manager is responsible for the financial outcome of all projectsCommunicate delays or improvements to scheduled plans promptly to the customer or other stake holdersDrive requests and unresolved issues to the designated source for expedient resolutionCreate and execute project work plans, revising as needed, to meet changing client needs and requirementsWork with sales/proposals organization to identify risks and mitigation plansSingle point of contact for all technical, commercial and quality aspects on assigned projectIdentify, manage and control project risks to minimize our exposure while meeting client needsEffectively communicate and negotiate change orders for margin enhancementAccountable for revenue recognition, timely and accurate invoicing and eliminating disputes/past duesManage project profitability, revenue and marginsEffectively facilitate project status reviews with clients and internal project teamReport progress on projects to all project stakeholders, internal and externalEnsures a clear understanding of the project contractual requirements by the project teamEnsure HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standard is fulfilled during project executionYour backgroundBachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field5 years of experience managing automation/controls projects for external customers preferred5 years of experience in Power or Water industry preferredProficient English Speaker with Excellent oral and written communication skillsProven Project Management skillsProven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team / organizationStrong skills in developing customer relationshipsStrong organizational skills with high attention to detail and sense of urgency in dealing with tasksPMP or other project management certificationKnowledgeable in dealing with EPCsProficient in Microsoft Office Tools, PowerPoint / Excel / ProjectsUnderstanding of SAP (ERP system) and Planisware scheduling software would be beneficialCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefitsRetirement planLife insuranceDisability insuranceWellbeing programHealthcare pl
