The Application Portfolio Management team has an immediate opening for a Business/ Platform Architect ; Experienced, reporting to the Senior Manager responsible for FedAPM .

Y ou will support the Mega Hopex platform including A pplication P ortfolio M anagement (APM) , B usiness P rocess M anagement (BPM) and E nterprise A rchitecture (EA) functionality .

Th is p osition will be responsible for the architectural direction of the platform, ensuring data and technical components meet System standards and drive the platform forward as a strategic decisioning tool , including data lineage across the platform and integration points with external systems . The successful candidate will help to d efine processes for the platform, system specifications, and ensure technical and business compatibility. They will i dentif y , analyze and support product features and enhancements with internal constituents and partners as well as with the vendor . The candidate will w ork with leadership in carrying out strategic initiatives focused on designing, planning, developing and synchronizing strategic business and technological directives and making and supporting implementation recommendations.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with the Manager and Enterprise Architecture community to improve platform utilization and adoption of integrated architecture design processesby developing architecture configuration standards and design guidelines.
  • Within the platform, develop, configure and implement robust APM, BPM and EA Frameworks,standards, processes, and KPI definitions.
  • Ensure the application portfolio, business process and enterprise architecture data quality is defined and maintained on the platform.
  • Develop and deploy effective governance processes to improve portfolio, architecture and data quality relevancy, completeness and accuracy.

  • Manage organization master data for APM , BPM and EA artifacts
  • Assess and communicate current-state platform condition and identify improvement opportunities that support organizational strategies.
  • Develop and align platform capabilities to support APM, BPM & EA portfolio management strategies.
  • Develop and communicate strategic choices based on quantified business value, architectural fit, performance, cost and risk.
  • Prepare, c ontribute to and participate in architectural discussions for a technical and management audience.

  • Major contributor for efforts in analyzing business drivers to determine business information , data design and technical architecture requirements.
  • Key participant in platform project s , system design/testing, requirement direction and investigation of alternatives for implementation of feasible new data and technology.
  • Provide consultative guidance and hands on support for data and technology projects focused on planning, development and implementation of strategic directives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Knowledge of application Portfolio, business process modelling and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience with application integration leveraging APIs and other integration methods. Preferred experience with integrations with IT service management, operations management, and decision intelligence platforms

  • Experience with automation to supporting testing, release and configuration management
  • K nowledge and fluency in the Mega Hopex platform or comparable strategic decisioning tools and platforms. Knowledge of architectural standards and approaches.
  • Data management knowledge and data driven decision focus.
  • Related certifications in architecture and /or data ( i.e. ITIL) preferred .
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience .

  • 5-8 + Years of proven experience acting as a business or platform architect for complex enterprise level solutions and initiatives .
