Job OverviewKeurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is looking for a highly motivated, analytically-minded professional to join its Total Large Format Grocery Category Management team. The Director of Category Management ABSCO plays a critical role for KDP and is responsible for driving the delivery of the Category Management vision that supports our KDP portfolio strategy for growth. This individual will be accountable for driving tactics and influence that span internal growth initiatives, effective building of rapport and trust with key stakeholders, and driving win/win with our actionable recommendations. This role is both demanding and highly visible, inside KDP, ABSCO and within the industry. Must create proactive solutions and partner with an extended commercial team to ensure that winning solutions are activated. Successful leadership in this role reflects the ability to deliver on: growing KDP space, distribution, increasing display and promotional frequency for our brands and categories, and achieving both our internal objectives (revenue, volume, profit, share) and establishing KDP as a trusted advisor and indispensable business partner for all category management needs. 10% travel expected barring day to day business requirements. Position Responsibilities:

Serve as a conduit in driving win/win decisions, recommendations, and market influence through making and articulating fact-based decisions, deckbuilding, and sound storytelling in formal recommendations related to shelving, merchandising, pricing, and assortment.

Work closely with the Total Large Format Grocery Category Management team to establish, lead and influence organizational best practices and thought leadership sharing.

Leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize and anticipate issues and opportunities by elevating analyses beyond reporting and translate insight into retail action

Develop & deliver fully integrated consumer, shopper, category and marketplace insights and trends to guide key retailer’s strategic choices and tactical executions, to drive market leading growth for the short and long term

Conduct robust analysis using research, category management capabilities, sounds financial acumen, analytical tools, and effective data visualization to identify and communicate business opportunities or challenges to all key internal / external stakeholders as necessary

Influence team and business activities through creation, articulation, and execution of systems, processes, and new ways of thinking to enhance business results and raise the bar in all that we do as a collective function for KDP.

Exhibit strong track record and commitment to continuous improvement in behaviors, practices, and corporate strategy

Exhibit critical thinking and strategic insight – with an ability to leverage relevant insights (industry, category, brand, channel, Route to Market, shopper, consumer, and account) to develop a strategic agenda that drives focus and results behind KDP’s strategic priorities

Superior drive for results with demonstrated ability to build indispensable, collaborative partnerships with the customer and internal business partners, across functional teams

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus

A minimum of 5+ years of business experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) with a focus on category management (mandatory), business analytics and/or shopper insights

Extensive experience understanding, utilizing, and employing syndicated data to drive internal and external wins through sales and share growth. Encompassing such data sources as: IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, Panel, and retailer-specific point of sale (POS) data. EYC experience a plus

Experience in Sales and/or analytical sales support and ability to lead compelling face to face dialogue and influence.

Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written & presentation, and follow-through

Proficiency in JDA Space Planning software a plus

Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
