Pharmacy Med Access Services Director

Responsible for the management, leadership, and coordination of all activities associated with medication prior authorization program, infusion, and facility administered medication pre-certification and medication access service. Interacts with vendors, consultants, and other departments to ensure efficient and effective use of the clinical, financial and revenue cycle systems. Provides direction to one or more pharmacy teams, as well as project leadership as it relates to prior authorization, pre-certification, and medication access for patients needing medications prescribed by UC Health providers. Responsible for all the daily activities associated with this area. Provides instruction and training of staff. Sets expectations, manages performance, rewards, coaches, provides feedback, and performs yearly evaluations of each member of the team. Provides support to pharmacists, physicians, patients, clinical pharmacy practitioners /specialists, and managers in financial aspects of obtaining prescription medications. About UsAbout the Team
