Greenhouse Production Worker (Hudson)

Summary: We are looking to hire individuals to join our production team. Our production workers are responsible for following standard operating procedures assigned at each shift, and flexible to work in various departments of the greenhouse when needed. Each shift will include completing Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures, comprehending machinery mechanism, and follow all company protocols for health and safety of the product and working environment.

Duties and responsibilities expected, others may be assigned:

1. Packing and shipping duties.

2. Receiving and storing incoming raw materials.

3. Ensure all machinery is working efficiently and report any issues immediately to a greenhouse management team member.

4. Provide quality check on all finished product before putting into shipping cases.

5. Maintain irrigation solutions on seeding line

6. Function computer software on machinery.

7. Restock trays and film in heat sealing packing machine

8. Move all finished product to shipping area and ensure labels on pallets are correct.

9. Responsible for assembly and disassembly of machinery for cleaning and sanitation activities.

10. Basic understanding of task needed to be completed each shift.

11. Functions as a team member, and flexible to work in various departments of the green house.

12. Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures including bio-security and food safety protocols.

13. Take on employee training when scheduled to benefit employees working progress

Qualifications:

High School Diploma Required and/or 2-4 year College Degree Preferred

Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak basic English (required)

Minimum 1 year working experience in production, warehouse or manufacturing facility

Ability to work in cold conditions and stand for extended periods of time

Experience with assembly and disassembly of machinery

Working experience as construction laborer desired

Working experience in greenhouse or agricultural farm desired

Expected to be available for rotational weekend work

Ability to lift or push up to 50 lbs

Job Type:

Part Time

3-4 days a week

$12-13/hour with room to grow into full time employee.
