Small Engine Mechanic (Akron)

SUNCREST GARDENS, an award winning landscape development, management and retail garden center located near Hudson, Ohio was established in 1976.

We are now interviewing for: Fleet and Small Equipment Mechanic

Duties:

Oversee and complete the routine general maintenance, as described in operations manuals, of all vehicles, trailers and equipment.

Complete repairs to vehicles, trailers, and equipment as repair orders process states, in a timely manner.

Order, update, and stock needed parts inventory to maintain minimum levels per direction of director.

Maintain clean and organized shop conditions and surroundings daily.

Comply to all safety requirements in shop area pertaining to flammable fluids and tool usage.

Participate in training sessions for technicians on safe operations of equipment and routine maintenance procedures.

Be available, on call, for emergency field repairs, particularly during snow removal season.

Attend all pertinent company meetings, as required.

Assist Director of Fleet/Equipment in analysis of equipment needs and the development of equipment operating systems.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday: Saturday Mornings as required.

ON CALL for emergency services.

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred 3 year of mechanical experience

Leadership/employee management experience

Microsoft office skills

Strong communication and leadership skills

Clean valid driver’s license
