Type of Requisition: RegularClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: SecretPublic Trust/Other Required: SSBI (T5)Job Family: Systems EngineeringGeneral Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an Operations Manager – Cloud to support our Program.Join an exciting and dynamic team delivering a large-scale Enterprise Common Tools cloud platform, automation & orchestration, and Cloud Application Migration effort for the Army. This team works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with engineering, migration, and operations & sustainment of cloud migration efforts. Enterprise Common Tools and specific Army program customer migration efforts provide a range of day-to-day challenges, while the bigger picture architecture and migration efforts provide tangible milestones that the team pursues together following AGILE practices, to deliver the overall program effort. We’re looking for self-starter Leads and technical engineers, to work both as part of the team and on individual assignments, in an environment of customer mission delivery, integrity and communications. We’re looking to fill this role/team with those who currently have the cloud experience, certifications, and skills to execute in large enterprise environments, are flexible and enjoy tackling challenges, and desire to join a large team that is building and sustaining a large multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise and migrating/expanding/automating the enterprise. If this sounds like you and you love to learn and grow with a team while delivering program milestones, then we’d love to hear from you!Responsibilities include:Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
Lead Teams and Interface with technical leads to coordinate task responsibilities and technical work delivery
Provide Technical guidance to program staff, including assessing the quality of work performed; and evaluating the quality of program deliverables.
Day-to-day supervision of the team and leads
Work across teams, and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during program execution
Build and maintain technical relationships and facilitate technical discussions: cloud technology, managed service, enterprise platform, application and other technical discussions and aligning solutions with client/program needs
Provide communication, ensuring that managers, team members, stakeholders within the organization, and clients are kept informed of relevant trends and projects.
Deal with escalations. Make assessments, problem solve, make recommendations, or provide solutions to resolve issues.
Mentor and train staff, execute succession planning, ensuring they are up to speed on critical processes and technologies related to the organizations’ goals and soft skills needed to succeed.
Contribute to budgeting process and understand the financial impact of technology decisions and investments
Develop timelines, schedules and budgets for projects and technical work.
Assist with development of CONOPs, SOPs, Training documents, Plans, AARs, and other CDRL or non CDRL Technical Documents related to the Technical and Non-Technical Areas
Coordinate and communicate with Government and Other Government Contractors at various levels on a wide array of topics
Lead the Technical team and clear roadblocks to ensure mission success
Participate or Lead Special projects as needed.
Required SkillsBS Computer Science or IT (or related degree) and at least 8 years of experience
Minimum five years’ experience Leading Technical Teams in DoD in complex large IT environments
Successful track record of Senior Project Management, Agile Project Management and
Motivated Team leader to set and execute Vision
Excellent interpersonal skills and Strong communication skills
Strong Technical grasp, with attention to detail and requirements
Experience with large, complex multi-tenant Enterprise environments
Experience with cloud platforms and technologies
Knowledge of Change/Configuration Management, Risk Management, Schedule Management, and etc.
Security+ CE or like certification
Desired SkillsProject Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
CEH or other certifications and training related to the technical
Experience with Remedy/ServiceNow
Experience with large complex programs (preferably Enterprise level) providing Cloud Operations Management
Experience with SLAs & KPI/Metrics
Experience with multi cloud and/or Enterprise-level environments
Experience with Application Management Services; Automation and DevSecOps; Cyber Security Operations; Risk/Compliance, and Optimization/Transparency
ClearanceActive DoD Secret Clearance
Location:Remote mainly with visits to client site – NCR location
