Unaccompanied Children Consultant- REMOTE

ICF is currently seeking a Consultant, Unaccompanied Children who will be responsible for participating in capture and proposal development for the portfolio and working across projects to contribute expertise in the areas of child welfare, refugee and immigration services, and unaccompanied children. This position will report to the C&Y portfolio lead.Key Responsibilities:

Contribute expertise to the following:

Knowledge management of best and promising practices in child welfare, refugee and immigration services, and unaccompanied children

Participate and advise in capture processes

Participate as a writer on proposals for ORR

Advise on structure, relationships, and insights into the ORR

Provide insight into competitors working with immigration, refugee, and unaccompanied children

Identify potential solutions to client challenges

Identify potential partners for business development

Assist with recruiting, hiring, and orienting subject matter experts in the areas of refugee and immigration services, and unaccompanied children

Establish relationships with other contractors and grantees

Create opportunities to meet with potential clients

Prepare presentations

Establish processes in the implementation of new projects

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree in social services field.

8+ years of work in the field of refugee resettlement or immigration.

10+ years of experience in managing projects at the national level.

5+ years’ experience in child welfare.

5+ years’ experience working with a federal client relationship.

5+ years in business development either from a procurement or bidding perspective.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Doctorate in social services field

Experience in program implementation

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well both individually and in a team environment.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while demonstrating the initiative to complete projects with minimum supervision.

Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.

Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities and to work limited overtime as necessary.

Ability to travel up to 25%

Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Project) and MS SharePoint
