Job Summary/Company:

A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Technical Specialist, Monitoring Administrator to ensure technology is running as desired to deliver the product to the customer. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the support of servers, network devices and mainframes at all facilities for hardware or software errors
  • Design and execute diagnostic tests to monitor the health and performance of computer systems and communications equipment
  • Monitor client help desk calls and assist in the resolution of problems; escalate to internal technical groups as necessary
  • Test and install communications equipment for internal and external customer use
  • Create documentation that will troubleshoot internal networks and systems efficiently
  • Provide training for the Operations Representatives on the various networks and systems they support
  • Provide enhanced network support for WAN and IP Telephony networks
  • Support wide-area MPLS services as well as other communication lines for all customer communication links
  • Coordinate and participate in Disaster Recovery exercises
  • Assist various team projects to ensure Continual Service Improvements occur within Operations
  • Engage with technical teams at our client banks, E-Wallets, and payment networks, to develop technical solution design for integration projects

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or education/training in an IT related field
  • 3+ years of experience with Cisco routers, switches, and Firewalls
  • 3+ years of Dynatrace experience
  • 2+ years of Splunk experience
  • 3+ years' experience with Dynatrace OneAgent for application performance analysis, creating/maintaining dashboards for performance testing, development, support, and tune processes, as well as customization (views, metrics, alerts) of the tool
  • 3+ years' experience working with Database, MQ, WebSphere
  • 3+ years' experience with Red Hat Linux and AIX Servers in an enterprise environment
  • Experience using various versions of Window Servers
  • 2+ years of experience using VMware 5.X or 6.X
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and support of distributed financial services transaction processing platforms
  • Experience analyzing debugging issues as it applies to Cisco switches and routers
  • Experience supporting IP Telephony systems
  • Strong hands on experience with Java server side technology and J2EE App Server, preferably WebSphere
  • Strong working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX commands, shell scripting and database queries
  • Datacenter and monitoring experience
  • Strong knowledge of relational database Microsoft SQL and DB2
