Warehouse & Customer Service

Description:

Rugby Architectural Building Products is growing. We have an exciting opening for an individual to perform general warehouse duties and if you like to talk to people, to perform customer service in our customer service department. This multi-faceted position allows for a busy day utilizing a strong candidate with many talents! This position reports to the Branch Operations Manager or Branch Manager.

Who We Are Looking For:

Passionate and experienced individual to provide outstanding customer service to new and existing customers by phone or in person via counter sales as needed

Actively manages ongoing customer communications and coordinating logistics in various projects and assignments

Accommodating employee who successfully manages customer inquiries and resolves customer complaints

Detailed individual who maintains proper inventory control of building materials located on-site to ensure prompt just-in-time delivery to local customers. Check incoming product to verify material against receiving documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies or damage.

Motivated candidate to who is able to coordinate and schedule all logistics, shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading of building materials

Strength in multi-tasking and handling multiple projects, assignments and accounts

What You Will Do:

Warehouse-

Load and unload cabinets, countertops and various other building materials.

Locate and stage material for delivery by company truck or for pickup by customers.

Assist branch truck driver by loading and securing material in the truck in a manner that assures no damage in transit.

Ensure that material loaded for delivery matches shipping documents and that the products are in good condition.

Periodically examine stored material and report any deterioration or damage.

Maintain warehouse in a clean, orderly and safe manner.

Assist in taking inventory as required on a regular basis.

Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies.

Ability to drive a forklift and pass a valid OSHA approved forklift certification.

Ability to lift extremely heavy awkward products repeatedly to store, removes from storage for fabrication, or load onto a truck 50-100 lbs with a helper.

Must be able to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouching.

Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.

The employee will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold, heat and humidity, depending on the season and location.

Will be exposed to modest amounts of dust, fumes, noise and vibrations

Customer Service-

Answering customer inquiries and resolving customer complaints.

Establish and maintain excellent rapport with internal and external customers.

Complete all associated paperwork and routine progress reports as needed (purchase orders, bill of materials, return material authorizations, certificates of analysis, MSDS, etc.)

Coordinate and schedule all logistics, shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading of building materials

Use hands to operate a computer or other keyboard instrument.

Move from sitting to standing and walking a variety of distances frequently throughout the day

Actively engage in Rugby Nation

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years demonstrated experience in customer service & warehouse

Lumber yard experience a plus

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Agility program or similar CRM experience
