Control Management (CM) maintains a strong and consistent control environment through a joint accountability model that aligns managers with each line of business, function and region to mitigate operational risk. The team focuses on four areas: Risk Identification & Assessment, Control Design & Evaluation, Issues & Control Deficiencies and Control Governance & Reporting.This particular CM team is comprised of 11 employees across the following locations: Wilmington, DE; Columbus, OH; Tampa, FL; and Tempe, AZ. We are an experienced team with many years of service in Operations and Control Management roles, many of them within JPMC's Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Line of Business, and we support the following functions within CCB Operations: Customer Service and Lending Operations; Business Management Office (BMO); and Infrastructure Services.The functions we support vary significantly from business to business and, to some extent, from sub-group to sub-group. Customer Service and Lending Operations provides customer service via phone, email and online channels to CCB's Consumer Credit Card, Retail and Auto Loan customers; it also processes consumer credit card applications. BMO collaborates with other groups in CCB to provide workforce planning support (e.g., development and maintenance of forecasting & scheduling applications and reporting), facilitate headcount location planning, and deliver workspace solutions and optimize workspace allocation and utilization. Infrastructure Services provides oversight and transaction processing of Leaves of Absence, performs centralized pool hiring and plays a role in onboarding new hires.Key responsibilities, coverage areas and deliverables may include the following:Identify and assist in implementing process improvements and control enhancements; present improvement ideas / enhancement recommendations to business partners and Control Managers and obtain agreement to implement.

Maintain and improve process, risk and control descriptions in the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) system and ensure that the structure and contents of the Risk Assessment Structure (RAS) comply with CORE Procedures and applicable guidelines; compare CORE contents to - and ensure consistency with - business-owned procedures.

Continue CORE build / enhancement effort for Infrastructure Services and BMO - in particular for the Functional Oversight processes which contain overarching / common risks and controls.

Conduct initial design evaluations for newly added controls; prepare business partners for -and facilitate execution of - Control Design and Performance tests performed by the centralized testing team (set & manage expectations, coordinate scheduling, obtain consensus on results, etc.).

Identify, review and resolve CORE exceptions (e.g., hygiene exceptions).

Assist in developing new / refining existing control metrics and in dispositioning Control KPI (a.k.a. Trigger) breaches.

Prepare and present recommendations for additional risk/control and legal obligation mapping considerations following review of CCB CORE processes performing similar functions.

Perform reviews of business-owned procedures as part of the change management framework as well as during re-certification cycles; As CM Lead for procedure reviews / re-certifications, provide oversight and guidance to other CMs to ensure expectations are understood and target dates are met.

Act as CM Lead for the Legal and Regulatory Change Management (LRCM) process; Coordinate with business partners, Legal, and other Control Managers to assess / re-assess applicability of new / existing Legal Obligations.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent job experience in the financial services industry, comprised of 7+ years' experience in banking.

Background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance preferred; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business related function/operation (i.e., Card, Retail, Consumer Bank).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) required and data analytics preferred using Excel, Access.
