Other ancillary duties will be assigned as the Seating Business Unit expands to new locations, introduction of new products and customers (Military), and shifts in customer and regulatory delegations. This role will be deployed to support Aircraft Seating operations in Winston Salem, Kilkeel N. Ireland, and Miami.The role will report to the Associate Director of Compliance and form an integral part of the Aircraft Seating Compliance Team which provides governance, oversight, and corrective action management pertaining to applicable and evolving regulatory and aircraft OEM requirements. As such, this role is critical to reducing business risk due to audit findings and process and product escapes. Regulatory and OEM requirements can be complex, as they vary across geographic regions, product types and customers. For those reasons a very specific set of skills and experience is required to fulfil the role.The role will coordinate Notice of Escapes (NoE) across the Seating Business Unit and ensure NoEs are being assessed, managed, and disclosed to interested parties. The role will lead investigations and drive actions within other functions in support of the Seating Product Integrity Council and Safety Review Boards.Additionally, the role will support the development of Regulatory and OEM related business processes that will become harmonized across Aircraft Seating operations. These business processes will support work being executed across multiple sites for common programs, or where common customers deal with multiple sites and require common processes. The role will also support the training and deployment of these processes. ESSENTIAL CRITERIABachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience OR
In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws / regulations.
Experience leading teams inside the work environment
Experience in the interpretation and application of aerospace regulatory (FAA/EASA/UKCAA) and OEM contractual requirements
Experience in the interpretation and application of AS9100
Experience developing processes and implementing process improvements
Experience in leading problem-solving activities
Experience of internal auditing and supporting or hosting external audits
Experience in writing reports and other business correspondence
Experience in delivering training and/or presentations within the company, including senior managers and external parties
Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Experience working with data to provide metrics and analysis
Willingness to travel internationally
