The Lead Wellness Assistant assist with promotion of a healthy, activity-enriched lifestyle for residents and associates through the planning and implementation of the community wellness program. Responsible for implementing all aspects of Kisco’s Art of Living WellSM philosophy and the 6 dimensions of wellness (Vocational, Intellectual, Physical, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual) through purposeful interaction with residents; including planning and facilitating classes, coordinating events and outings, and assisting with transportation.What will I do every day?

Assist Wellness Director to provide programs that meet the emotional, intellectual, physical,social, spiritual, and vocational needs of the residents and associates

Create opportunities to exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction

Support the creation of a monthly calendar of events encompassing The Art of Living WellSM and the 6dimensions of Wellness based on current resident’s needs, passions, interests, and abilities

Coordinate programs related to the interests and needs of the current residents and thesurrounding community at large

Promote resident and staff attendance, participation, and engagement in all dimensions ofthe community Wellness programs

Collaborate with volunteers and community groups to implement various programs and events

Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceedresident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction

Perform functional ability assessments and quality of life indexes for participants, as requested

Assist in setting up/tearing down for events as needed

Monitor residents’ general well-being and report any changes in the condition of aresident to supervisor immediately

Assist with scheduling transportation and preventive vehicle maintenance as required

Drive vehicles as necessary

Ensure that all Wellness areas, including storage areas and equipment are safe, clean and secure

Support and demonstrate open and honest communication with, and between, all associates

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing theproper uniform and name tag

Work as part of the team within the department and across the community

Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies

Conduct and/or assist with regular staff meetings and daily line ups

Assist with daily work schedules as needed

Assist in the recruiting process new under the guidance of the department director

Present required new hire training and ongoing skills training for associates and maintain

appropriate documentation

Provide performance feedback for associates under the guidance of the department


Keep Wellness Director informed of Wellness department associate activities and performance

feedback to support recognition and corrective counseling

Represent the Kisco PVBs and The Art of Living WellSM

Comply with Kisco standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient property


Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook

Understand and support the community sales process

Perform other related duties as required

What will I need to be successful in this role?

Ability to assist building effective teams, support department director in hiring and developing

people and have the courage to lean into difficult issues

Strong problem-solving skills for analyzing difficult situations and finding effective solutions

Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?

Associate degree preferred

Two to four years’ experience with developing and implementing wellness programs, preferably

for seniors

Valid driver’s license and proof of good driving record

If responsible for creating exercise prescriptions and evaluating resident’s ability to participate

in physical dimension of programs, appropriate certificate, or ability to obtain one withinreasonable time of employment, is required

Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within reasonable time of employment (as
