Description:Our client, a medical device company in RTP, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to become part of the product development team. They are currently in the clinical trial phases of the company and looking for people to fill roles that will strive to improve the product based on clinical trial feedback from patients and medical staff and to prepare the product for final submission to the FDA for marketing approval. Working well within a team environment using standard medical device quality system procedures is essential to the success of the person that fills this role. You will be on the frontlines of development to help many people in need.Main Responsibilities: Design and debug new and existing electro-mechanical devices that control the effects of congestive heart failure Develop and maintain electrical design files using Altium schematic capture and PCB design tools Plan, coordinate, and perform tasks to meet quality, delivery, and cost goals with minimal supervision Act as subject matter expert and application expert as it pertains to the assignmentRequired Skills: Electrical Engineer BS/MS with 3 to 5+ years of experience Electromechanical system engineering experienceo Microprocessors / microcontrollers, embedded Linux / bare metalo Motor control circuit design and softwareo Power including custom board-level power supplies and battery charging sub-systemso Communication protocols; SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, IrDA, Bluetooth, WiFi Medical device product development (or other highly regulated industry) MIL-STD-704/810 or 60601 test experience Work within ISO 13485 quality system Knowledge of PCB manufacturing, test, and rework processes Transfer to manufacturing experience Project management experience Good written and verbal communication skillsSkills:electromechanical engineering, Embedded Linux, electrical engineering, Altium, PCB Design, Hardware, Embedded Systems, Schematic, Microcontrollers, MCU, Hardware Design, Medical Device, 60601 test, Electro-Mechanical, DeviceAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Desired Skills: Demonstrated strong technical skills in developing/debugging and testing electromechanical devices in a medical device product development environment Demonstrated technical skills with portable medical device electronic design, communication bus interfaces, wireless communications, electronics manufacturing and test processes, and electromagnetic compatibility Demonstrated skills in driving the product development processesExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
