Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Developer, Senior in Durham, NC to design, develop, test, correct, and document complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications and subsequent iterations using agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result. Lead a team to provide high-quality maintainable software that meets business and technology needs. Influence other software and IT managers to design and build solutions. Clarify technical requirements and influence decisions that lead to the right solutions. Work with team to improve their processes and develop best practices for agile development. Design new and modify existing customizations, conversions, and interfaces. Manage and create all technical deliverables including technical design specifications, diagrams, flows, and documentation of all configuration changes. Manage the source control repository for assigned applications. Work with QE teams to provide testing frameworks and conducts system testing. Work with internal and external vendor teams on all support, enhancement, and project related activities. Develop components and create packages to be promoted to production environment by Support/Ops teams. Provide warranty period and post-warranty production support for applications in area of responsibility. Assist Project Manager in identifying and managing risks, issues, and dependencies. Comply with and demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology for assigned projects and tasks. Troubleshoot production issues of different criticalities with appropriate urgency and maintain the application uptime as per defined SLAs.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: utilizing Web Applications including J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring, JavaScript, HTML5, JSON, REST, Swagger, GIT, and object-oriented programming language; building RESTful APIs using Java/Spring frameworks; working with Cloud and Cloud Native technologies including CI/CD and OpenShift; writing unit and integration test cases using JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Cloud Contracts; utilizing Unified Modeling Language (UML) for object modeling; utilizing REST / SOAP services tools including SOAP UI, Crest, and Postman; monitoring application performance and status using Dyna Trace, App Dynamics, and Splunk; and using Agile/Scrum methodology. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
