Please note that this is a 9 months contract position. Requirements:• Fluency in technical and common office software (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio)• Ability to pay attention to details• Written and oral communication skills• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment• Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills• Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter• Ensure technical documentation is accurate and complete, meets editorial and specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style;• Create, edit, modify and maintain version control of forms/documents and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure timely updating of policies, procedures, and processes along with the identification of issue items;• Coordinate with IT business owners, customers, consultants, and other IT stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise and guidance in order to ensure timely completion, testing, publishing, and reporting for compliance of assigned documentation;• Support the writing of templates and ad hoc reports;• Facilitate, coordinate and manage communication of issues• Provide written weekly status updates to include timeline, risks and challenges.Preferred Skills/Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience• Familiarity of technology related to networking and server environments• Familiarity of Agile methods.• ITIL FoundationsHours of Support:• The support hours will be during regular business Monday – Friday. Some occasions off hours’ work may be required for upgrades, testing and/or deployment activities.Description:The Technical Writer is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a technical team supporting both networking and computing disciplines. The position researches products, services, technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience from engineers to executives.Some of the duties and responsibilities of the Technical Writer include:• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.• Generate innovative ideas for content, process and technical solutions.• Produce, edit, and format technical presentations, documents, and spreadsheets• Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.• Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation.• Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.• Participate in project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.• Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.• Works on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s).Applicants must provide their phone number.
