Job Summary:

We are looking for a Sr. Research Program Manager to join our client's team in Raleigh, NC. A fundamental part of the Product Design team serves a vital role. Product Design focuses on efforts that go into creating the experiences and crafting the details in our products help transform the way people work. Research is a key element of our Product Design team for incubation, validation, and continuing experimentation of our product portfolio; therefore, we are looking for a self-motivated business minded program manager to enable operational excellence.
The ideal candidate for this role has a strong portfolio of previous work and a great interest in research and design, who understands the UCD process. You are transparent, respectful, empathetic, and ambitious. You are diplomatic and professional, and your work ethic is solution-driven and pragmatic. You thrive in an iterative work environment and enjoy finding opportunities for alignment and improvement.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS), ideally in business administration, operations, information management, or statistics
5+ years' experience in executive or high-level administrative, project management in similar experience in a large, complex, fast-paced environment
Has experience with research operations and coordination for research organizations
Must have prior experience with product researchers and designers
Advocates for insights collection throughout product development cycle
Understands the business goals of the products your team supports
Works to broaden product and domain expertise.
Prior experience project tracking, ticketing, sequencing, and close out via Jira is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques is a plus, particularly with (Excel, SPSS, SAS, BI).

Operational Efficiency:

Contributes to the development of a framework for UX artifacts and resources that increase accountability and visibility into the role of UX in product development
Identifies new customers and organizing our research database repository and protocols
Helps us support more of Research and Design at scale through efficient processes
Enables evidence-driven design practices that incorporate real customer experiences and outcomes into our products with data analysis, dashboard creations, and data reporting

Collaboration and Leveraging the Knowledge of Others:

Proven experience in coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations
Proven experience in project planning, risk management, and change management.
Involvement in research discussions with collaborators, researchers, and funding organizations, and have authority to make independent decisions about research aims and study design
Managing relationships and engagements with internal product group stakeholders to ensure their research needs are met
Managing relationships and engagements with a set of external customers by helping manage, iterate, and coordinate with customer data in our insights repository
Assisting on planning and executing our events that feature roadmap discussions, customer roundtables and extensive customer co-design sprints
Coordinating engagement projects and research for our team and partners
Contributing to key, horizontal research projects yourself
Ability to track progress across portfolio of projects to ensure study milestones are met; prepare data reports and progress reports for Research Org
Ability to oversee cross-project regulatory compliance, study protocols, budgeting, and financial reports for the team
Brings best practices from across the industry to bear as you support a growing team on design, content, and research efforts that range from open-ended discovery through design
