Project ManagerThis individual will simultaneously manage multiple projects in the technology, data and innovation space.Not all projects will be the same, but there is both a business and technology component to the majority of projects.This individual will report into the team product manager and partner closely with engineers, data scientists, support and the business.Collaboration with all team members will be necessary and a close partnership with the product manager will be critical. In short, this role will be working with multiple teams to manage the build, rollout and adoption of new technology tools within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Use your project management expertise and knowledge to either facilitate (lead) and/or contribute on several projects running at the same time (divide and conquer team collaboration)Analyze and assess the data and supporting materials to determine correct execution plan for a given project including helping breakdown and understand the issue(s) to be resolvedEstablish appropriate governance structure (roles / responsibilities, project plan (the deliverables) approvals required etc.) for a given project and track progressFacilitate (when necessary) the appropriate escalations to resolve delivery / execution roadblocksUnderstand timelines and create project roadmaps and plans.Must be able to communicate with all stakeholders to understand how long things will take, deadlines, estimated delivery dates and the manner in which things are built or made availableManage / support project related documentation tracking; project charters, plans, delivery supporting materials (requirements documents, test results, approvals etc.)Partner closely with Product Manager and other key stakeholders on development of internal tool as well as implementation of external vendor tools within the investment bank.Must be a team player who is adept at managing up and empathizing with others while also making sure deadlines are managed Overview of department/team:The team manage a number of key initiatives and projects that support the IB business areas (internal clients) including Front Office, Risk and Controls, Finance, product owners, engineers, support and data scientists.Will report into Product Manager but is expected to self-manage, manage up, teach others and act as a partner and collaborate with all team members rather than just someone who just does what they're told.Challenges contractor will be facing in role: This role requires the ability to negotiate with stakeholders and clients.Multiple priorities necessitate transparent communications and level setting of expectations with the IT team and specifically projects related stakeholders and clients. Also requires close partnership with others and ability to bridge gaps between teams and identify solutions for outstanding solutions.Should also be able to assess blockers and be able to identify when they can be solved independently or require escalation to senior management.
