C# Developer

PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe position is responsible for working closely with data scientists, business managers and the Mortgage Group engineering team lead to design, develop and maintain data centric solutions. The incumbent will work as part of a team to complete tasks across the development stack from building front end UI apps to back end ETL and data management processes. This includes traditional development as well as Azure Cloud Centric applications. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Leverage relevant programming languages to create applications and processes for manipulating, extracting, visualizing and managing data.
• As part of an Agile team, complete software development work including application design, coding, code review and testing while keeping team and lead apprised of project status.
• Offer suggestions to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve project and program objectives.
• Manage engineering risks by proactively tracking and communicating issues, devising methods to mitigating them and owning issues through to resolution.
• Support the business unit in the resolution of issues, bugs, user questions and production support processes in a timely way to meet internal SLA s.
• Maintain a working knowledge of new technology and software engineering standards, practices and tools and bring those new technology ideas to team.
• Provide input and estimates for project and development planning.
• Communicate technical ideas effectively through design, function, and release documents. Be thorough about all project and team related documentation.
• Participate fully in code reviews with engineering team. Present code/processes for review and provide thoughtful code reviews/insights to others.
• Present work or designs to business team, team lead and management as well as facilitating follow up discussions.
• Participate in Agile processes and ceremonies including daily stand-up s , retro s, backlog grooming
• Be comfortable scheduling and running meetings and providing timely follow ups from discussions.

• 5+ years of overall software development experience
• 2+ years working in financial services
• 3 + years of C# (Winform or XAML, WebAPI) experience.
• MS SQL, Transact-SQL experience with the ability to write and tune SQL queries for performance and scalability
• ETL development experience using SSIS or ADF
• Exposure to logical / physical database modeling and experience with relevant design tools.
• Experience working with source control, preferably Git
• Azure experience is helpful (AzureSQL, Azure VM, ADF, DataBricks)
• General knowledge of analytic tools/languages (e.g. SQL, SAS, R, Python) and basic programming concepts and principles.
• General knowledge of Data Visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
• Proficient in MS Excel; able to convert raw data into meaningful formats for analysis.
• Good documentation skills (Sequence Diagrams, UML, Data Model, Conceptual Model)
• An eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
• Good organizational skills to manage independent work.
• Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• Javascript Client experience is a plus (ReactJS, Angular)
