Grain Elevator Operator (Newton)

LFR Grain & Chemical is a thriving, fast-paced grain elevator, chemical and seed retailer and farm located in rural Newton, NC. We are busy year round, rain or shine. We are looking for an individual to assist in the operation our grain elevator. Duties include but are not limited to: loading and unloading grain trucks, operating grain elevator, weighing trucks in and out, grading grain, maintenance of grounds and equipment, driving and backing equipment, trucks and trailers. Must be able to work flexible hours (40-50+ hours/week including Saturdays). Basic computer skills are desired. Knowledge of Catawba, Lincoln and Burke area is a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Must be able to pass drug test. The ideal candidate should be eager and dependable with attention to detail.

We offer health insurance and paid holidays after 60 days. Starting pay is $11.50-13.00/hour based on relevant experience. Overtime pay after 40 hours.
