The roles of this position include planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all local and wide area network connections, corporate servers, associated software, and communication links. Troubleshoots network performance issues, analyzes network traffic, and provides capacity planning solutions; diagnoses, resolves, and documents hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provides end user training and support where required in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of the bank.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:• Guides and instructs Network Technicians with daily tasks. Must be able to perform and serve as back up on all tasks of Network Technician role as needed, and perform tasks involving troubleshooting the Cisco equipment.• Performs tasks that insure the bank branch communications are running at the purchased speed. Works with the telephone providers during troubleshooting procedures.• Monitors the Exchange mail system.• Monitors the Barracuda appliance and makes adjustments and upgrades if necessary.• Monitors the iPrism appliance and makes adjustments and upgrades if necessary.• Respond to Branch problems related to the network circuits.• Initiate contact with the telephone company when necessary to correct line problems involving the network circuits.JOB REQUIREMENTS:• High school diploma or equivalence• Minimum 5 years of work experience as Network Analyst or TechnicianKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED: • Excellent customer service skills• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environment• Knowledge of Word and Excel • Complete all required compliance training by established deadlines• Ability to maintain confidentialityPHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:• This role has physical requirements to handle the installation of computer equipment, monitors, printers and copiers and telephone equipment. • Installation may involve squatting, stooping, kneeling or crawling behind or under furniture to pull network cables, wiring and other cords.
