Pharmacy Student Intern

LOCATION:Wesley Long Hospital, WLCH-PharmacyCITY: Greensboro, NCJOB DETAILS:Exempt: No | FTE: 0.001 (Relief) | Schedule: As needed, weekend option | On Call: NoJOB SUMMARY:This position is accountable to work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department in order to provide quality patient care for the following patient age categories: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric, depending on the clinical setting. Student will gain technical experience by rotating through all areas of health system pharmacies.EDUCATION:Required: High school diploma or equivalent; must include basic arithmetic, algebra, reading and writing, as well as some basic chemistry skills (ability to identify medications requiring specialized handling)EXPERIENCE: One year of work experience preferred (pharmacy related experience is desired).
