Wanted: Home Improvement Worker (Kinston)

Wanted: help with home remodel/repair business. Looking for a clean cut, energetic individual, that knows lots of basic “handyman” skill sets. You should be able to handle general rough framing for walls/doors/windows/floors. There will occasionally be work underneath houses such as minor duct repairs, insulation, vapor barriers and wood repairs. There is also occasional roof, siding and deck work. You should be in good shape and be able to handle a fairly heavy work load on occasion that is sometimes in the heat and cold, and in a variety of tough to get to areas. Ideally, you will have some knowledge about a lot of repair type work as you will be called on to tackle work orders involving small to moderate repairs for rental properties and real estate closings. So some familiarity and basic knowledge in a wide variety of skill sets is extremely helpful to this position. Very minor plumbing, minor electric, drywall work, painting and flooring skills will all be needed to some degree at some point. The more you know, and can show you are GOOD at, and the more professional you are, the more you will get paid. This position is not for a “helper” or “general laborer”. A strong knowledge in repair work is very necessary. The starting pay is $15.00 an hour. Beyond that, pay can and will increase incrementally, depending on your experience and proven knowledge/track record. We work in a strict drug/alcohol free environment. You must have a valid NC driver’s license, reliable transportation to and from work and your own hand tools (no exceptions). Prior military with Honorable Discharge VERY welcome. Prefer local to Kinston, NC within 20-25 miles.
