Our client, a financial industry leader, needs a Senior Performance Engineer to support performance engineering across the organization. You will apply industry standard methods and tools to solve complex performance and stability issues and innovate new methods and reports with business value. You will have the opportunity to partner across the entire organization, and potentially with external vendor partners. To qualify, you must be technically competent and business oriented.

Responsibilities of the Senior Performance Engineer:

Identify common priorities and interests and foster a collaborative environment
Apply continuous improvement processes and evaluate impact on quality/efficiency of work
Triage defects with development partners and project management teams
Provide performance tuning recommendations to development teams

Requirements of the Senior Performance Engineer:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent and 5+ years of IT and performance engineering experience
Experience in software performance benchmarking tools like LoadRunner, CloudTest, JMeter
Experience in monitoring and observability tools like Splunk and Datadog
Migration/tuning cloud-based applications both in AWS and Azure
Experience in Agile software development, DevOps, and CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins or GitLab
Intermediate experience in creating accelerators using Java/Python
Experience in a Linux/Unix operating system
Knowledge and expertise in Agile practices
