They enable cloud for Developers, and they just can’t simply open up the gates. They built a layer on top of the cloud space (AWS), that is the platform, and this will allow the devs to interact with the platform and then they will see exactly what they need to develop within their project.They also will be working with a team that builds out security on an enterprise scale of 1500 accounts.If I were a candidate, what would get me excited about this position (what are the selling points)? Working within the cloud and working with the latest and greatest technologies.Candidate ProfileWhat are the top MUST have soft skills and technical skills (experience candidates must have coming in the door)?Development Experience in either Python, Java, or Golang, in a cloud environment.We aren’t looking for someone who has touched or worked in an AWS or Azure environment at a surface level. What that means is that they need someone has built out accounts, not someone who has just clicked a few buttons and are familiar with the cloud space.The team will accept either strong Azure of AWS experience.If the candidate is Azure focused, they need to have strong Kubernetes exp.If the candidate is AWS focused, they want someone with Cloud Native knowledge, w/serverless exp like Lambda.What are the NICE to have skills (what is your team willing to teach the person)? N/AIs there a current team member’s profile that would be an ideal profile for us to target? NoWhat role-specific pre-screening questions can our team use to help vet candidates up front? We are passionate about opensource contribution, sharing our expertise and knowledge with the engineering community while adopting a continuous learning approach support by a dedicated learning day each week.The Expertise and Skills You Bring• Hands-on experience in 2 or more languages (Python, Java, Go etc.).• Hands-on experience designing and building scalable and resilient applications in the cloud.• Serverless hands-on development and architecture experience implementing Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, etc• Experience delivering software using engineering best practices and principles.• Extensive knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CFT, CDK, etc.).• Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment.• Passion for new technologies and cloud trends.Bonus skills• Cloud Certifications in AWS.
