Job Description:
The RoleThe Healthcare Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence is seeking an expert and skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. You will build a streamlined data workflow to support machine learning models. You will work with both benefits and healthcare data. The data pipelines you build and software you develop will bring the standard process on how we extract, load and transform the data. The TeamFidelity's growing healthcare business services employees of our clients with offerings such as a benefits administration platform for selecting and handling their benefits as well as a health savings account product for saving for medical expenses. The Healthcare Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence delivers internal digital tools, customer facing applications and insights from analytics by using a diverse set of healthcare and benefit related data sources. We employ a full spectrum of data science techniques - predictive models from machine learning, causal inference from epidemiology, and natural language processing from deep learning are all part of the mix. We open up the boundaries of what's possible with data science to help clients and their employees select, handle, and navigate their healthcare benefits. The Expertise You Have- BS in computer science, engineering, or similar technology field; MS and formal training in analytics is a plus
- 2+ years of experience delivering data pipelines that support analytics
- Proven record working with financial or benefit data; knowledge of benefits data a plus
- Proven history developing backend data pipelines and frontend user interfaces
- Prior roles include scaling solutions, maintaining them, and ensuring their security
- A strong past of working on project teams; knowledge of Agile ceremonies is a plus
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and at least one analytics database such as PostgreSQL; experience with platforms such as Snowflake and API frameworks such as Django is a plus
- Knowledgeable in ETL tools such as Alteryx and Informatica; some experience with AWS and its components such as configuring EC2 instances, Lambda, and Airflow is helpful
- Familiar with modern software development practices, including Git for version control, Jenkins for DevOps, and Docker for containerization
- Basic grasp of statistical methods, including summarizing, trending, and population segmentation; statistical models and inferring causal relationships are a plus
- Versatile in calling APIs and extracting data from databases as well as merging the data together into a data model
- Proven track record to implement solutions from technical requirements
- You take a data-focused approach to understand the customer needs, work side by side with data scientists to translate product objectives into technical practical requirements
- You define, design, and build an automated data pipeline
- Encouraging a culture of Measurements, Test & Learn, and Data-Driven Decision Making within the larger organization
