As the leader of the digital finance team, this position will be the finance business partner supporting the Chief Digital and Information Officer and the broader digital organization, which is comprised of IT, Marketing, Data Strategy & Analytics, and E-Commerce.This position will lead building the budget and forecast for revenues and expenses for Digital. They will direct and validate financial analyses to support strategic planning, operational decisions, and investments. They will evaluate and measure key company initiatives, analyze performance on key financial metrics, and provide executive decision support through strong business partnership.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business partner supporting all aspects of the Digital function, including $1.5B+ in annual revenue

Develops and manages a key portion of the budget and forecast process including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures for the Digital function.

Build up-front measurement plans to evaluate success of investments against committed benefit gains.

Identifies financial risks, opportunities, and process improvements and makes recommendations to senior management for corrective actions.

Support various value streams and provide analysis to better understand ordering processes, patterns, and effectivity of different tools to drive digital revenue

Responsible for the business development of all digital reporting tools and managing digital reporting priorities. Look to share best reporting practices across all of FP&A for coordination and consistency.

Supports senior management in the development and implementation of medium and long-term strategic plans.

Performs and/or manages the financial modeling and productivity analysis to determine the dynamics that drive digital performance.

Assists in the negotiation of the structure of financial agreements for digital contracts, capital investments, and other related areas as needed.

Partner with the Digital team to ensure Digital roadmap milestones are achieved

Develops and leads a small team to support execution of effective and aligned financial planning activities.

Actively participates in cross functional teams and special projects representing the finance function

Ensures effective internal controls and compliance with MSC’s accounting policies and procedures.

Performs all duties inherent in the role of MSC Director as defined by the MSC Code of Conduct including hiring, termination, review, and development of associates.

Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit, Economics, or a related field is required

Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in finance is required

Minimum of three years of management experience is required

Distribution/Retail experience with emphasis in sales and finance business partnering, technology industry experience is preferred

SKILLS:

In depth knowledge of financial modeling and analysis is required

Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, project, analysis, and accounting software is required

In depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.

Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills balanced with hands-on detail and understanding

Proven ability to build and manage effective relationships across multiple functional areas within the company.

A critical thinker with a strategic mindset as well as the ability to communicate these skills effectively.

Energized by challenging and mentally stimulating projects and opportunities.

An innovator: someone who constantly looks for ways to improve the approach of the business and who also fosters their team’s ability to innovate

An excellent communicator, who can engage and influence stakeholders on complex initiatives

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time is required.
