We boldly go.Position Summary:The Lead Audit Consultant is part of a global team conducting value-added audits around the world. The Lead Audit Consultant will lead teams of 3-5 people and is responsible for audit planning, supervision of Audit Consultants, testing procedures and audit reporting. The Lead Audit Consultant will also support strategic initiatives of the Audit Department. All Lead Audit Consultants must maintain and exhibit the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and discipline in all their actions.Responsibilities:Independently assess process and control gaps to assess actual and potential business impacts, taking into consideration mitigating controls.

Assign specific audit areas to Audit Consultants and assist them with appropriate training as needed.

Determine that all logistical issues (such as travel arrangements, advance coordination with local management, supplies, etc.) have been addressed.

Provide consistent, on-site daily supervision of the audit.

Lead and provide coaching to Audit Consultants.

Act as the primary interface with local management and with the Audit Director, keeping both informed on progress made, issues encountered, and proposed responses to each finding.

Monitor the progress of the audit, including the work of all Staff Consultants, to ensure completion of the audit within the scheduled time.

Independently assess process and control gaps to assess actual and potential business impacts, taking into consideration mitigating controls.

Recognize and recommend solutions to resolve audit findings in a timely manner.

Develop fact based and objective conclusions and recommendations for each audit issue.

Respect and protect the confidentiality of information obtained during the audit.

Provide leadership, training, and support to Staff Consultants, including the significant support and training required to integrate new Staff consultants into the audit team on an ongoing basis.

Maintain knowledge of general business and economic developments and gain understanding of the Companys industry.

Maintain adequate and up to date technical knowledge in such areas as accounting, audit, information technology and other areas as required. Maintain adequate and up to date knowledge of all Trane Technologies accounting and internal control requirements.

Perform special assignments as requested, including strategic projects.

Take a lead role in fraud or special investigations that can result in employee interviews and terminations.

Build a positive rapport with personnel throughout Audit Services and the worldwide organization.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance

CPA required

Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting and auditing fields

Advanced skills in MS Excel and Word.

Demonstrated leadership in Agile audit methodology

Demonstrated leadership developing and utilizing analytics within audits

Knowledge and experience working with Oracle R12, preferred.

Ability to travel 20-30%, including international travel.
