Job Details

This role will work with the engineering team daily on code rewrites and new functionality for the application and software platform. Ideally they are moving from a Ruby stack to GoLang.

Current architecture and stack is mostly:
  • Hybrid React and vanilla HTML / CSS GUI
  • Rails monolith with GraphQL interface
10 ancillary Rails services
  • Wordpress powered web assets
  • Python machine learning service
  • Hosted in AWS, deployed using Capistrano
  • MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Snowflake
What they are looking for:
  • Minimum of 2 years of web and back-end programming experience, or demonstrated ability to program working software
  • Experience with API driven applications
  • Passionate about engineering excellence
  • Comfortable working across the full stack
  • Experienced with using version control systems
Bonus Points: Familiar with Go, or similar language (C, Rust), Node.js, micro services, gRPC, and binary serialization protocols
