What We're Looking ForThe time is right to join HNTB! The Division Sales Officer functions as a key member of the division leadership team. This individual owns, drives and is accountable for meeting and/or exceeding the divisions annual sales goals. Works with the Division President, Office Leaders, and Sales Managers to recruit key staff to meet annual sales goals. At times, will have sales involvement at the HNTB Corporation business unit levelPrimary Focus Will Include:Strategically aligned to industry trends and can demonstrate external client relationships

Owns, drives and is accountable for meeting or exceeding division sales goals. Works with offices to define sales goals.

Annually assists the Office Sales Manager to prepare sales plans for the individual offices and rolls up into a Division Sales Plan.

Responsible for ensuring super-mega and mega wins. Serves as master strategist of super-mega and other major pursuits. Brings firm-wide resources and external resources on project pursuits.

Engage on all Super Mega Pursuits

Prioritize Mega Pursuits and ensure the appropriate resources are available for megas the DSO does not have time

Keep the HNTB Executive Sponsors informed in regard to Client super mega pursuits

Acts as coach during the selection interview preparation process.

Acts as a trusted advisor to the Division President, serving as part of the leadership team and contributing beyond sales focus.

Leads, champions, owns, teaches and is responsible for the total Sophisticated Planning Approach (SPA) and Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA) processes. Provides oversight and evaluation of office SPA and SSA effectiveness; intervene when needed to make and improve upon process improvements.

Leads the preparation of the division strategic plan, following the HNTB SPA process, involving key inputs, ideas, and drafts for review and direction by the Division President.

Helps offices on the O-Strats

Coordinates the O-Strat presentations

Provides feedback from Division to the OLs on the O-Strats

Provides focus on the office strategic planning process throughout the division, reviewing, commenting on, and following-up on office strategic plans.

Provides leadership in the division marketing function including line authority over this function and the Division Marketing Director.

Coordinates weekly with the DMD and ensures that pursuits are adequately staffed.

Provides managerial leadership to a Division Marketing Director and organization to ensure the Division Sales Officer remains focused on significant sales related issues and to ensure that each office cooperates and utilizes the division marketing resources effectively.

Assists the Division Marketing Director with staffing needs

Supports Government Relations Program in the offices and throughout the division.

Fosters effective teaming relationships at local, regional and national levels.

Positions people for specific assignments both internally and recruiting externally as a “talent scout” to drive sales success.

Participates in client service action plans.

Accountable for leads and fees, division win/loss, CRM, client assessments, and client audits.

Ensures debriefs and After-Action Reviews (AAR) are completed on all pursuits, follow-up and act on lessons learned.

Demonstrates “hair on fire” passion for sales, owns the pursuits, follow-through, and not just administer the SSA process.

Performs other duties as assigned

Acts as coach during the selection interview preparation process.

Facilitates the Government Relations Program in the offices and throughout the division including oversight of legislative initiatives, personal involvement with clients, elected officials, contributions, and fed PAC.

Leads War Rooms.

Fosters effective teaming relationships at local, regional and national levels.

Positions people for specific assignments both internally and recruiting externally as a “talent scout”.

Acts as a trusted advisor to the Division President, serving as part of the leadership team and contributing beyond sales focus.

Participates in client service action plans.

Shepherds the preparation of the division strategic plan, following the HNTB process, involving key inputs, ideas, and drafts for review and direction by the Division President.

Encourages, facilitates, and energizes the office strategic planning process throughout the division, reviewing, commenting on, and following-up on office strategic plans.

Accountable for sales goals both budget and performance, leads and fees, division win/loss, Momentum, client assessments, and client audits.

Ensures debriefs and After Action Reviews (AAR) are completed on all pursuits, follow-up and act on lessons learned.

Responsible for Go/No Go on mega teaming/ role / subs / net to gross. Has signing authority on Mega Go/No Go decisions as designated by the Division President and on specific areas of responsibility and assignments.

Demonstrates “hair on fire” passion for sales, owns the pursuits, follow-through, and not just administer the SSA process.

Chairs the office Sales Managers’ group weekly meeting and communications.

Performs other duties as assigned.
