Those who can manage the process to ensure that models are correct and are fully accrued each month, verify and hold the operations team accountable to ensure end to end incentive processing, payments, accounting and related financial controls are operating effectively will thrive in this position. The Controller position is a long-term contract / temporary engagement located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position will work in a very dynamic and high profile area with significant visibility at executive management level.What you get to do every single day

Ensure timely cash flow forecasts by collaboration with the Treasury

Supervise reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes and tools for the accountable programs

Obtain understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners

Analyze and oversee controls to ensure they are effectively designed and operating in partnership with compliance

Assemble evidence and qualitative discussion of monthly financial results across global programs to support SOX controls

Perpetual reviewing of actual spend against budget, as well as leading necessary actions needed for any expected shortfalls

Collaborate with various business partners for various program controllership and FP& A activities such as ensuring accrual models are accurate and accounting methods are appropriate, as well as true-up activities and answer queries from business, area and subsidiary controllers

Acquire understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners Requirements - Consolidated Financial Statements experience highly desired

Proficiency in Balance Sheets

General familiarity with Cash Flow Analysis

Quality experience with cash flow management

Earlier work involving trial balance

Proven knowledge of Monthly Financial Statements

Solid understanding of QuickBooks

Knowledge of general ledger

Foundational knowledge in Analyze Financial Statements

Good understanding of Microsoft Excel

Wide ranging experience with Cash Flow Reports

Practical knowledge of Cash Flow Forecasts

Well-founded grasp of Prepare Financial Statements

ERP system knowledge required

Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills

Implement and improve changes in procedures immediately

Demonstrated ability to provide leadership across finance team by engaging with different groups around the world via virtual communication

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field

CPA and/or CMA preferred

Excellent communication and negotiation skills with experience in establishing trusted advisor/consultant relationships and proven ability to influence Executives and Business Decision Makers

3+ years professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance

Excellent efficiency in office and accounting computer systems
