The Role:

Job position: Big Data Lead Developer

You are:

Job Description

Software Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience required in Big Data technology.
  • Strong proficiency in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases like HBase, Cassandra, and MongoDB
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Flink and Apache Storm
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or PowerBI
  • Knowledge of big data security technologies and protocols like Kerberos, SSL, and encryption algorithms
  • Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement big data solutions for clients using a variety of tools and technologies
  • Work with clients to understand their data requirements and provide recommendations for the best big data architecture to meet those needs
  • Collaborate with the data engineering and data science teams to ensure the smooth integration of big data solutions into clients’ existing systems
  • Ensure the security, privacy, and reliability of big data systems and work with clients to ensure compliance with data protection regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest big data trends, technologies, and best practices and share that knowledge with clients and team members

Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Good understanding of big data architecture and design patterns
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Proficient in programming languages like Java, Python, and SQL
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience: A minimum of xx years of experience in big data consulting or development
  • Experience working with clients from different industries and understand their specific big data requirements
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and deploying big data solutions

Day-to-Day Activities:
  • Meet with clients to understand their data requirements
  • Design and implement big data solutions using a variety of tools and technologies
  • Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to ensure the smooth integration of big data solutions into clients’ existing systems
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest big data trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Provide training and support to clients on big data solutions

Qualification:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Industry certifications in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases is a plus

Soft Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients in an understandable manner
