Description If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity with a manufacturing company in the South Charlotte area for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role involves various HR duties, including high volume recruiting in the warehouse field, owning new hire orientation, managing the employee handbook, and handling employee relations.PAYCOR IS A PLUS Major responsibilitiesCompare federal, state, and local laws to current internal policies and procedures
Develop templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
Employee relations, involving engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations
Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Requirements - Prior experience or knowledge managing Open Enrollment is a plus
Prior experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Prior full cycle recruiting experience
Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws
Candidates who are highly professional, as well as able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity, will be preferred
