Systems Engineer

Description There is an immediate Systems Engineer opportunity through Robert Half for Charlotte, North Carolina candidates. You'll be a successful Systems Engineer if you are a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. Submit your application as soon as possible!What you get to do every dayEstablish standards to actively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Configure, test, maintain, and install application software, system management tools, and operating systems

Be involved the design of information and operational support systems

Submit 2nd and 3rd level support

Oversee and review application performance for potential bottlenecks, define possible solutions, and join forces with developers to realize those fixes

Band together with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Formulate and affirm custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

Control and watch all installed systems and infrastructure

Manage redundancy strategies, security, and backup

Requirements

5+ years of relevant experience

VMware experience preferred

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure

Strong familiarity with MS Windows 10

Active Directory experience

Solid scripting skills

Applicants should have experience with virtualization and containerization

It is preferred for applicants to have experience with automation software

Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems

This position requires a candidate with experience with monitoring systems

You might be a good fit for this position if you have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
