Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry in their Charlotte, NC location. This is a 12 month + contract position. Responsibilities:

• Provide the Consumer and Small Business solutions architecture team with proven delivery on innovations within the Enterprise Payment Technology space
• Deliver Omni-channel solutions within across traditional payment networks and trending payment networks including virtual wallets and merchant services
• Participates in design, development and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements
• Contributes to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions
• Develops prototypes of the system design and works with database, operations, technical support and other IT areas as appropriate throughout development and implementation processes
• May lead multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor
• Needs IBM Rational Software Architect

Requirements:

• Merchant Acquirer and Merchant Services Experience
• Effective Communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to document processes and platform architecture into sustainable documents
• Plan, develop, organize, build and test service and API integration services
• Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts
• Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
• Strong use of visuals skills, ability to convene points with graphics and illustrations
• Strong attention to detail
• 8+ years financial services industry experience
• 2+ years Digital & Physical payment implementation experience
• 3+ years Previous Client Experience
• 2+ years Proven experience in delivery innovated and newer trends in payments / financial networks specific examples required
• Knowledge of Payments data/object/service models
• Knowledge of HSMs and security models
• Knowledge of network integration with 3rd party networks including ACH, ATM, RTP, Card Networks
• Desired Skills
  • 5+ years' experience in integration services programming and architecture
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Communications, or Operations
  • Proven experience working in a application programming position
  • Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
  • Ability to simplify complex information
  • Familiarity with financial services and payments and payment processing
  • Working in large organizations and understanding of the culture these large organizations bring
• Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
