Patient Representative acts as an advocate for both the patient and the provider to honor the mission of serving the community. We believe it is rewarding to help patients and their families. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Patient Representative for our Orlando office. The candidate will be responsible for screening uninsured patients to determine their eligibility for Medicaid and other assistance programs, completing the necessary application forms, following up with the applicants to obtain all necessary verifications, and following up with the respective agency to ensure accurate processing of the applications.

Responsibilities:

· Telephone contact to pre-screen individuals for qualifying criteria of various Federal & State Medicaid programs. (Department of Social Services, Social Security Administration/SSI and SSDI).

· Follow-up communication with both Applicants and Agencies to expedite the application process.

· Maintain records both paper and electronic.

· Adhere to strict HIPAA laws and regulations.

Educational Requirement: High School Diploma

Required Experience: 1 or more years of experience in Revenue Cycle, Medical, or Customer Service Field.

Required Knowledge:

· Advanced interviewing skills

· Computer applications including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

· Excellent Communication Skills, both Written and Verbal, with individuals from all spectrums of the population
