| Company Size: 11-50 employees We’re looking for a Director of Finance with 5+ years of accounting and finance leadership experience for a great opportunity in Charlotte, NC.The Director of Finance will be responsible for driving our client’s financial operations and improve financial performance. This position will include supervising accounting staff, overseeing internal controls, setting financial targets, developing a financial strategy, monitoring expenditure and cash flow, managing tax compliance, presenting financial results, managing banking relationships, and assisting with the financial regulatory oversight of our Broker Dealer. The role will also be responsible for financial operations, developing effective financial strategies, guiding efforts towards financial stability, monitoring all financial activities, promoting revenue growth, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and maintaining a good relationship with investors. This position will provide oversight and tracking investment returns and reporting for internal and external investors within our client’s strategic capital business line.

As the Director of Finance, you will:
  • Directing financial planning and strategy
  • Analyzing and reporting on financial performance
  • Overseeing audit and tax functions
  • Develop and implement accounting policies
  • Prepare forecasts and comprehensive budgets
  • Train accounting staff
  • Assess, manage, and minimize risk
  • Analyze complex financial data
  • Manage internal controls
  • Assist majority shareholder in tracking and evaluating external investments

Job Requirements for the Director of Finance:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred, not required
  • Proficiency in accounting software; Experience with QuickBooks or Alta Return preferred, not required
  • Financial management experience
  • Strong aptitude for math
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Broad knowledge of accounting principle
