One of our direct clients is looking for Data & Records Management Analyst in Cary, NC / Cambridge, MA. Below is the detailed job description. Title: Data & Records Management Analyst Location: Cary, NC / Cambridge, MA / Remote (MUST WORK ON EST TIME ZONE) Must Skills :- Academic background (Certified records manager / Certified Information Governance Officer) or a Library Bachelors and then records management but with a maximum of 15 years' experience, with at least 3 years in health care. Need profiles that fit at least health care background or the certifications and other industry experience Job Description: The individual will assist the Data Management Lead in continuing to enhance the policies, procedures and execution of client's Data Management and Data Protection program, which is designed to ensure that the company's data is appropriately managed and protected across the information lifecycle. The remit of this role will focus on cross-functional collaboration and capability development to ensure governance goals, data management lifecycle standards and best practices for both physical and electronic data and records are reached. The analyst works proactively with the various business units and other internal departments and organizations to implement practices that meet client's defined policies and standards for data and records management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Help develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures related to the management, storage and retention of electronic content, whether data or records. Including but not limited to data cataloguing, data classification and labelling, records management, email and file share management.
  • Advise business on data management requirements as appropriate, which may include acquisition / divestiture activities or new systems implementations.
  • Act as liaison with business functions with regard to implementation and support of information classification and electronic data/ records management practices.
  • Perform data management gap analysis, collect, analyze and interpret data.
  • Support data cataloguing initiatives; analyze data flows and dictionaries to support those efforts.
Qualification:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data management, information governance and electronic records management principles and best practices and digital preservation theory and practice.
  • Direct experience developing, planning and implementing data management, records management and/ or information governance programs, including all the elements that make up a best in class data management program. Experience with electronic archive, data discovery and/ or data lifecycle management systems strongly preferred.
We would expect successful candidate to have both relevant experience and potential for further growth. We anticipate successful candidates will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business management or computer science preferred) or equivalent work experience; an M.S. in Library Science, information science or computer science strongly preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in Information Governance or a related discipline.
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM), Information Governance Professional (IGP) or related data/ cyber security certifications are preferred.
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry preferred.
