Job Description

The Vice President of Marketing and Education will be responsible for partnering internally and externally to develop and implement the marketing, education, and communication strategies for the Straumann Group dental implant brands across North America. S/he will ensure effective execution and consistency across all customer touchpoints and channels. The Head of Marketing and Education will also be responsible for professional training and education programs.

This executive will have an entrepreneurial mindset, taking calculated risks, elaborating strategies and driving excellence in execution to capture the huge opportunity the Straumann Group has within the dental implant esthetic market. S/he will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic organization, be willing to make and implement key decisions, and bring a proven track record in developing and driving high-quality collaboration in a multi-cultural, multi-brand, and multi-geography environment.

The Head of North American Marketing and Education and will have 6 direct reports, managing a total with a total organization size of 30+ with expectations to build the team further.

The overall responsibility of the North American Vice President of Marketing & Education is to support the growth and expansion of the North American business through the following core activities:

Expand market share gains with the Straumann brand in the premium implant market segment

· Develop brand portfolio and product strategy to maximize market share in premium segment

· Prepare and align global pricing schemes and loyalty programs

· Manage product launch executing, timing and demand planning

· Develop and execute commercial marketing campaigns and related guidelines across channels, geographies and target groups (for both professionals and consumers) with the objective to drive effective leads and ambitious sales growth

· Develop compelling stories, impactful visual concepts and related tools that support campaigns, product launches, etc.

· Develop promotional events and activities that can be both relevant in a COVID-19 environment, and a post COVID environment

· Define measures and KPIs to assess the success of initiatives and ensure efficacy of programs along with a foundation for continuous improvement

· Monitor the performance of individual marketing concepts through solid data analysis in order to improve the overall impact and contribution to both our top- and bottom-line

Design and implement the Education strategy for premium and value segments

· Develop programs with Key Opinion Leaders to provide continued best-in-class education for new product launches and new customer acquisition

· Design education and training framework that can be delivered in both a COVID-19 environment and our future post COVID world, anticipating and addressing any potential market shifts as a result of COVID

· Expand community education platform across all product brands

Liaise with relevant stakeholders throughout Straumann Group to build out and commercialize existing and new products, along with potential new brands in North America

· Work in close harmony with North American Sales leaders to drive market share and expand market adoption of market leading brands

· Coordinate commercialization plans with global marketing including launch cadence, product positioning, and pricing strategies

· Lead demand planning process with global marketing, global supply chain, and North America Finance organizations

· Continue to build on a talented and driven Marketing & Education team, combining the right expertise, the right mindset and a strong collaborative spirit both internally and externally

Role model, and strengthen the company culture together with the team, and demonstrate the Straumann Group Core Behaviors through leading the organization to high and sustainable growth

Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position will be an experienced, respected executive with a proven track record of leading a successful marketing organization through a period of high growth. S/he will be a strategic leader, market and growth oriented, with a successful track record of value creation. S/he must have a service mindset and unquestioned values and ethics.

The successful candidate will possess the following additional skills, experiences, and capabilities:

· Strategic Marketing Leadership: 5+ years leading an analytical marketing team for a consumer product. Proven success in marketing leadership, demonstrating a strong progression through positions of increased responsibility.

· Relevant Industry Expertise: Track record of success in healthcare sector, with direct to consumer marketing experience and medical devices preferred.

· Partnership Expertise: Proven ability to identify potential internal and external partnerships, technologies, and other strategic decisions that will best position the business for long-term strategic growth.

· Multi-Channel Marketing Expertise: Strong background in developing and implementing multi-channel marketing strategies and plans that span both traditional and digital media.

· Global Project Management Experience: Success driving complex global projects, influencing and driving collaboration in a technical and international environment; experience and comfort in working within an international business environment is preferred.

Cross-Functional Collaborator: Track record as a strong cross-functional contributor and partnership builder.
