- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Management, or similar field of study. Graduate degree preferred.
- 5+ years of demonstrated data governance or data quality experience
- Minimum of Level 1 Certification in Collibra required, higher level certifications preferred
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance & Quality - policies, processes and tools
- Working experience as a technical data steward (running Stewardship sessions, designing and building business glossaries)
- Strong understanding and experience of Client’s-specific and utility industry terms
- Knowledge / experience using Collibra Data Governance tool
- Knowledge / experience using Trillium Data Quality tool
- Strong presentation & communication skills
- Ability to work with Senior Leaders
- Experience working on teams that work under Agile principles
- Conduct data discovery stakeholder interviews with business and IT stakeholders (selected applications)
- Identify data sets, develop data flows, understand data-related processes and identify key data issues for each application
- Update of Enterprise Data Flow diagrams and Enterprise Data Catalog inventory
- Creation of Application Playback decks and Data Discovery report & presentation
- Implementation of Data Stewardship
- Development of Data Stewardship Committee (DSC) charter
- Creation of the Data Stewardship Committee
- Initial onboarding and education of the DSC members
- Ongoing conduct and operation of the DSC
- Business Glossary
- Business Glossary development for SAP and Finance datasets
- Onboarding of Business Glossary into Collibra Data Governance tool
- Operationalizing Business Glossary management using Data Stewardship Council (DSC)
- Planning and execution of monthly Data Governance Committee leadership meetings
- Lead the Data Quality Tool Implementation
- Implementation of the new Data Quality solution
- Integration of DQ solution with key internal systems
- Lead the Planning and Execution of Data Quality projects (support ongoing and new)
- Engagement with key stakeholders on DQ goals, requirements and timeline
- Execution of workshops to collect business rules
- Liaison with key stakeholders on ongoing DQ operations (Asset, CRM, etc.)
- Development and execution of Change Management plan for Data Governance project website, Data Discovery, Data Quality and Business Glossary initiatives
