Vacation, Sick and Holidays after 90 daysEmail Me Similar JobsEmail Me This JobProgram Coordinator Rapid Re-Housing Scattered Sites ProgramJob SummaryThe Rapid Re-Housing Scattered Site Program Coordinator (Program Coordinator) will oversee all of the day-to-day operations of this scattered-site housing program for single young adults and parents and their children. This program (Rapid Re-Housing) provides private apartments and supportive services to 40 single young adults and 10 families aged 18-24 years. Reporting to the Director of Permanent Housing Programs, the Program Coordinator is an energetic, creative, and diligent leader of a team that includes four case managers and works collaboratively with a cadre of specialty staff including employment/education specialists and housing specialists.RRH coordinator will work closely in collaboration with the housing department to ensure stabilization of housing is achieved.Overall, the Coordinator will lead their team to achieve the goals of the Rapid Re-Housing: to stabilize and address any immediate trauma experienced by the youth in our care, assist young adults and parents to strengthen parenting skills and maintain housing stability, and assist the youth in advancing towards their individualized goals. Rapid Re-Housing utilizes several evidence-based models, for which the Program Coordinator will lead implementation. These models include Safe Care (for parenting) and Motivational Interviewing (counseling), among other models implemented agency-wide.The Program Coordinator is also expected to work closely with the Child Protection, Program Compliance, and Data Systems teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and manage program metrics.The Program Coordinator will need to be comfortable in a rapidly changing environment where processes and protocols are being developed and refined as the program is operating. Flexibility, a willingness to be available by email or phone in off-hours, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are critical to successfully fulfilling the requirements of this position.Scheduled 9:00 am - 5:00 pmDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProgram Design and Implementation

Assists the Director of Permanent Housing Programs and other staff in the evolution of the Rapid Re-Housing program design including but not limited to: refining program operations as needed, collaborating with performance measurement and compliance staff to determine programmatic goals and metrics for the program; assisting in refining a program manual and policies, and determining staffing and shift structures for the program.

Collaborate with the Housing and Landlord Department to assist with locating housing for young adults in the community.

Management and Compliance

Ensures high-quality day-to-day operations of the Rapid Re-Housing Program.

Ensures the hiring and training of all staff in the programs.

Supervises and develops a program team with a strong sense of accountability for achieving positive outcomes and complying with CHNY policies and other entities' regulations and requirements.

Ensures programmatic compliance with regulatory and other requirements.

Oversees staff scheduling for the programs and maintains a full census of the programs.

Oversees and implements evidence-based models and other proven practices, and identifies and meets the training needs of the staff.

Collaborates with supervisors of specialty staff (mental health, education/employment, housing/landlord engagement, etc.) to ensure programmatic success.

Assesses incidents, reviews the appropriateness of incident management, and ensures that all protocols are followed.

Ensures that all child protection policies and processes are followed completely and that the culture of the program focuses on child protection.

Ensures that all case files (electronic and paper) are accurate, comprehensive and up to date for all youth.

Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Leadership and Coaching

Manages the performance evaluation and professional development of a professional team.

Serves as a champion of new initiatives and evidence-based models that are implemented within the programs.

Embraces a data-driven culture that is outcomes-oriented and creatively responsive to programmatic challenges.

Promotes a healthy, inclusive, and equitable culture and engaged staff.

Always upholds CHNY's mission, vision, and principles, standards of conduct, policies, and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned and needed.

Qualifications:Bachelor's required; Master's Degree in a related field strongly preferred.

At least two years of successful supervisory experience required.

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working directly with young people through approaches that emphasize resiliency, strength-based youth development, and trauma-informed care required.

Experience with CCoC and/HUD-funded housing programs preferred.

Experience with scattered-site programs preferred.

Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once required.

Excellent verbal, written and problem-solving abilities required.

A strong focus on child protection and ensuring the safety of clients required.

Experience working with diverse groups required.

Overall flexibility in the work schedule required, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Strong leadership/management skills and an upbeat, energetic demeanor required.

Experience utilizing evidence-based and other social service models preferred.

Experience utilizing metrics to improve staff performance and client outcomes preferred.
