Job Description

Broadridge is hiring a Lead Software Engineer in our Edgewood location.

Responsibilities

  • You will Develop, test, and modify programs to improve efficiency of business operations
  • You’ll resolve programming issues and responsible for designing, coding and compiling modifications to new and existing programs in accordance with standards
  • You will help coordinate the build and deployment processes and prepares software turnovers to Quality Assurance
  • Provide production coverage and assist Technical Support in resolving program issues
  • Ability to work under stress and be highly adaptable
  • Proven analytical skills, especially in area of translating business requirements into technical design with a continuous focus on aligning technical roadmap with the immediate and long-term Business strategy
  • Flexible self-starter, who enjoys solving technical challenges and problems with proven social skills
  • Able to learn and apply industry-standard application development principles and practices with a focus on deliverables

Qualifications

  • Individual contributor with keen understanding of collaboration principles, with exposure to working with off-shore teams
  • Able to communicate with team lead and team members on a periodic basis regarding project timelines and deliverables
  • 4+ years of experience with development of Web based applications or highly interactive web sites using industry standards
  • 2+ years of experience with .net core
  • 4+ years of experience with C#, ASP .Net 2.0 and above, WCF, .Net, Visual Studio 2013 and above, version controls, Nuget Package managers, MVC 3 & above (with razor syntax, jQuery AJAX validations), MS report viewer, JSON, AJAX calls, Error handling and reporting
  • 4+ years of experience to code clean (following industry coding standards) with OOPS concepts, unit testing & accounting for security vulnerabilities as per OWSAP standards
  • 4+ years of experience with structuring HTML, CSS, JavaScript code to promote reuse, reduce duplication, and ensure consistency throughout the site
  • 2+ years of experience in developing web UI applications using JavaScript framework Angular 4 and above
  • 2+ years of experience with REST based WEB APIs (Versioning, Routing, Security)
  • 2+ year of experience with logging modules like Elmah, log4Net, Microsoft Enterprise libraries
  • 3+ years of experience with code in HTML, XHTML and CSS (CSS2, CSS3); advocate web standards, cross-browser compatibility (Internet Explorer 11 & +, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera latest version only) and semantic mark-up; must have understanding of JavaScript/AJAX/JQuery, Bootstrap & responsive UI
  • 2+ years of experience with open source controls & tools, jQurey widgets and validations library (nice to have fluent)
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Working knowledge of Debugging tools/ add-ons for different browsers e.g. firebug, IE developer tools, fiddler etc
  • In-depth working knowledge with Agile
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL server 2012 and above, Oracle 10g and above: writing/debugging SPs, creating tables, performance tuning of queries. Nice to have DB2 knowledge, MQ, DB2 SOAP/CICS transactions
  • Must have working knowledge with at least one of version of control tools: Perforce, GitLab, TFS or SCM
  • Nice to have CI/CD knowledge like Jenkins, Team City
  • Nice to have AWS cloud working experience
  • Nice to have knowledge of SSIS, SSRS
