Job Description

Verisk’s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide our interns with real work experience, professional development events, and networking opportunities. We're looking for motivated individuals who embody the Verisk Way to Serve, Add Value, and Innovate.

• Execute and monitor the core monthly processes required to build and maintain a large data warehouse
• Review internal and client reports for accuracy and consistency, manage timely client deliverables
• Work with technical teams to determine data requirements and best practices for data manipulation, and analysis strategies
• Respond to ad hoc requests as assigned from the team
• Collaborate with the technical team to design and develop workflows for process automations using pentaho on AWS
• Work with the development team in code/process refactoring from SQL to Redshift and develop optimized solutions
• Apply, design, develop and document automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks
• Explore, design, build, and implement tailored dashboards for internal use

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or a 1st year Master student
• Must have strong work ethic and be detail oriented
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts, both verbally and in writing
• Interest to gain knowledge and relevant work experience in Financial Industry and programming languages
• Technical skills: ANSI SQL, VB.Net, python, Java, experience with Amazon workspace highly preferred

The Intern Program is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. If you will require work visa sponsorship (e.g. H1-B visa) after completing your degree, you do not meet the basic requirements of the summer Intern role.
