Job Description

Etsy is seeking a passionate and talented professional to contribute to our influencer collections strategy to successfully drive customer engagement, discoverability, and purchase intent across our core markets globally. This role requires competitive knowledge of the retail landscape and strong partnership negotiation skills. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the influencer collections program is set-up for global scale, remains ahead of the curve and supports our overall business goals. This role is on our dedicated Influencer team, reporting directly to our Senior Manager, Influencer Marketing.

We are looking for someone to join Etsy’s growing global Communication and Engagement Marketing team to help develop and execute impactful influencer collections and partnerships. They will be responsible for co-creating retail collections of products with influencers, celebrities and brand partners. Work includes contract negotiation with partners and Etsy sellers, retail strategy development and marketing. They will also need to partner with groups across the organization to uncover opportunities that amplify a consistent message across key markets.

The team lives and breathes subjects that range from our unique selection of items and marketplace dynamics, to our seller-aligned business model and services platform to social purpose and microentrepreneurship — and there's never a dull moment! Our team doesn't practice “cookie-cutter” communications or use conventional rules of engagement. Instead, the focus is on being innovative, highly-informed and opinionated, thinking critically and editorially and developing meaningful relationships inside and outside Etsy. Every member of the team is encouraged to act entrepreneurially.

About the role:

  • Outline and execute plans to strengthen our collections and partnerships’ marketing efforts that ladder up to our key company objectives
  • Identify key influencers and brand partners to help bring the Etsy brand to life for buyers globally
  • Develop influencer collections that align with Etsy’s retail and merchandising strategies
  • Develop framework for distribution of collections content across paid, owned and earned outlets to yield exposure to desired audiences and quality engagements
  • Build compelling story angles that will resonate with buyers and ensure consistent narratives are woven through external communications via the collections program
  • Use data and insights to make strategic decisions, updates and improvements to existing and future partnerships and campaigns
  • Build toolkits and messaging materials for partners and Etsy sellers
  • Liaise with PR/Influencer agencies when applicable
  • Oversee and manage all budgets for collections program

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of communications or marketing experience with at least 3 years in an influencer marketing role.
  • Have successfully built and executed influencer marketing program
  • Extensive knowledge of social platforms and their unique communities
  • Are extremely detailed and like to multi-task
  • Passionate storyteller
  • Attuned to market dynamics and retail evolution, is passionate about retail
  • Experience working with social engagement tools & platforms (CreatorIQ)
  • Proven success utilizing analytics to provide strategic recommendations and drive concrete action
  • A natural relationship builder with great relationships with influencers, managers, or agencies that represent influencers
  • Are a great teammate with a “roll up your sleeves and get it done” attitude
  • Love to build compelling narratives that articulate a company’s key messages, but also present interesting partnership opportunities centered around key retail moments.
  • Have your finger on the pulse of the fast-changing landscape and emerging new media channels
  • Can work across multi-functional teams and feel comfortable advising senior level executives
  • Are a culture watcher with a passion for pop-culture and its infusion into a consumer brand
